Environmental services are necessary after an area has become contaminated due to elevated levels that are beyond State or County permissible limits. State and county permissible limits can differ. For example, The New York States permissible limits for certain levels of chemicals are the standard unless you reside in a county that has more stringent standards than that of the States. The Counties permissible level supersedes New York States standards. Typically, Murphy's Cesspool & Septic  finds chemical contamination, heavy metals, chemical compounds, and or petroleum. 




These kinds of contaminants require Certified Laboratory to do testing and a licensed liquid waste hauler. Usually we have to test for VOCS Volatile Organic Compounds, SVOC's Semi-Volatile Organic Compounds, and Heavy Metals! There are also other kinds of testing that also may be required. If a Drain is contaminated it must be cleaned until it passes testing to bring it back into compliance within state and county health department standards. We remediate contaminated dry wells, cesspools, catch basins, grease traps, leaching pools all types of drainage structures. It’s important to know Nassau County Health Department Standards for permissible levels of contamination can differ from Suffolk County health Department standards as well.
